Absence During Term Time
There has been a change to government regulations relating to absences from school during term time from September 1st 2013.
The schools in BATIC have worked together to revise the school’s Leave of Absence policy and Attendance policy accordingly and this will be presented to Governors at the next Governing Body Meeting. After thisa copy of each revised policy will be sent home for your information
Leave of absence can only be considered where the school has been notified in advance and where there are extremely exceptional circumstances. To request absence, parents must complete an Application for leave of absence during term time form and submit this along with a letter stating the exceptional circumstances to the school office, at least one month before the absence requested.
It is a well proven fact that regular and consistent good attendance at school leads to good outcomes for children; holidays during term time, no matter how pleasant and enjoyable should not be booked by parents or family members. Please support your child and the excellent work that this school does by not booking holidays during term time.
Please note that it is the responsibility of parents and carers to ensure that the school is made aware of any absence on the first day by calling the school office. After the third day of a child’s absence due to sickness, parents may be required to present the school with medical evidence. This and other details are outlined in our Attendance Policy.

If your child is not well enough to come to school please call the School Office by 9 o'clock to leave a message on the answer machine. The link below will take you to the latest guidelines from Public Health England with information about the recommended periods to be kept away from school when children are suffering from illnesses and infections.
Information for Parents
Please inform the school office if you or your partner change jobs or move house. It is important that we have up-to-date information on each child in school in case of an emergency. Hadleigh Schools' Uniform Shop
All profits going to the school.
Uniform can be ordered at any time by completing an order form and handing in to the office with correct payment. Please make cheques payable to Hadleigh Infant & Nursery School. You will find an order form under the 'School Office' link - follow the Our School' link on the school home page.
Parking on School Premises
Unfortunately, we do not have space on the school premises for vehicles belonging to parents. Please remember to park outside the school on the school side of Bilton Road or in the surrounding roads. Parents and carers who have special permission to park within the school grounds are reminded to drive with care at all times.
Unfortunately, due to Health and Safety reasons, we have to ask parents to keep their children off the outdoor play equipment during out-of-school times. Thank you for your co-operation.
Collect at School - Ink Cartridges
We have arranged for a company to collect our used cartridges in return for cash. The money we collect in return for empty cartridges will go back into our ICT budget. If you use a printer at home or work, please collect your empties and bring to the computer room at school - laser jet, inkjet and toner cartridges are all suitable.
