To further the interests and skills of each child we provide them with an activity passport - within this passport they will be provided with 15 activities per year that they will be able to complete during their time at the school. These activities are designed to provide the children with opportunities to complete tasks they might not have completed before in addition to the curriculum they follow. Since this approach was introduced, the children have thoroughly enjoyed completing these tasks and experiences. It is our hope that by the time your children leave Hadleigh Infants they would have completed many different activities and even sparked new life-long interests and hobbies.
The teaching at Hadleigh Infants and Nursery begins by building on the many skills parents and carers have taught our children at home. My team and I value these contributions and enjoy working with families to support the all-round development of our children. Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, we recognised the importance of supporting our children to develop both mentally and physically. Since the pandemic, we have redoubled our efforts to support children and families. As part of our school’s curriculum, we offer the children daily wellbeing sessions to support their mental and physical development. We work closely with parents and local professionals to get the support that children and their families need to ensure that they are safe, happy and able to achieve. We strive to encourage a successful partnership with home, as we know how positively this can impact on a child’s progress and development. We ensure that parents and carers are involved in their child’s learning journey and work closely together to ensure that every child has the best opportunity to fulfil their potential.
At Hadleigh Infants and Nursery School, we have the facilities to support children to develop their social and emotional needs. Our Learning Mentor (Mrs Burls) works closely with both children and their families to support them during their time at the school. We have excellent facilities such as our soft room and nurture room which are used on a regular basis to further support the children. Both the facilities and provision we offer have a positive impact on the children’s behaviour and academic outcomes. My staff are very supportive and always work hard to support families in any way they can for the benefit of the children in our care.
We hope this website will give you a brief insight into our school along with useful information. If you have any questions or would like to speak to someone, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
