Vision and Values

Here at Hadleigh Infants and Nursery School we offer a large, spacious environment, in which children are happy and motivated to learn. Our aim is to treat all of our children as individuals, each with their own set of skills, interests and motivations. We endeavour to personalise learning to ensure that it is active, hands on and fun while promoting progress.

At Hadleigh Infants & Nursery School we prioritise the education and welfare of the children in our care over all else with the belief that “Every learner is entitled to a curriculum rich and varied, challenging and inspiring, which enables every individual to fulfil her or his potential”.

In addition to this, we seek to nurture and develop the whole child as we strive to encourage our learners to become responsible, kind and happy citizens of the world who are keen to contribute to wider society.

Our wishes for our children:

To be polite, caring and honest members of the community
To have respect for themselves and others seeking out a healthy lifestyle
To be open minded about difference in all of its forms
To have a positive work ethic and strive to be the best they can
To have effective communication skills which enable them to build good relationships

In order to promote these wishes Hadleigh Infants and Nursery School encourages children to:

Demonstrate kindness, empathy and respect towards others
Make positive & healthy choices on daily basis
Have an understanding of the feelings, cultures and beliefs of others
Strive to have growth mindset and always aim high, regardless of any barriers
Voice their worries, feelings and emotions in an appropriate way

We do this in a number of ways, such as through our broad and balanced curriculum and our school rules of Ready, Respect and Safe. In addition, we also give our children hands on experiences through involvement with local charities, community events, visitors and educational visits.

Hadleigh Infants and Nursery School is an inclusive school, we welcome children from a variety of backgrounds and with wide range of needs. We will always work hard to ensure that barriers are removed and children are able to meet their potential.
