Ethos, Values and Aims

Ethos

We believe every child is unique and we work hard to develop the individual abilities of your child, as well as providing for his or her particular needs. My staff offer the children an inclusive, broad, balanced and challenging curriculum that prepares them for their future learning experiences. Our ambition is to provide the first spark of interest coupled with high quality provision which may lead to the children becoming the next great mathematician, author, scientist, historian, geographer, athlete, artist, designer or whatever role they have been inspired to fulfil in the world.

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, we recognised the importance of supporting our children to develop both mentally and physically. Since the pandemic, we have redoubled our efforts to support children and families. As part of our school’s curriculum, we offer the children daily wellbeing sessions to support their mental and physical development. We work closely with parents and local professionals to get the support that children and their families need to ensure that they are safe, happy and able to achieve. We strive to encourage a successful partnership with home, as we know how positively this can impact on a child’s progress and development. We ensure that parents and carers are involved in their child’s learning journey and work closely together to ensure that every child has the best opportunity to fulfil their potential.

Our Values

Everything we do here at Hadleigh Infants and Nursery School is underpinned by our three values:

  • Respect
  • Ready
  • Safe

These easy-to-follow values allow all children to learn and achieve in a calm, respectful and meaningful learning environment.

Our Key Aims

  • To ensure all pupils are safe both at school and at home;
  • To ensure all pupils, regardless of their background, have the opportunity to fulfil their full potential;
  • To promote a lifelong love of learning by providing a memorable and exciting broad and balanced curriculum for all;
  • To develop life skills that pupils will be able to use in the future;
  • To ensure we enable the children to leave the school with the skills and knowledge they require to be successful during the next stage of their education.
